In the past I’ve played fiddle with many hot singer-songwriter types and thought it would be great to write my own songs and be able to play alone at little cafe’s and things. Fiddle by itself gets kind of boring to listen to after a while no matter how good you are so I had to pick up the guitar and start singing. At first my little solo act was pretty rough. Like I kept bumping my guitar into the instrument mic and was trying to sing while looking down at my fingers to check the chords. Thankfully now my guitar plugs in so I don’t have a mic to bump into and I can play my chords like a champ! I’ve even learned how to mix my own sound, and my songs are getting really solid. Now I think I can officially call myself a “singer-songwriter chick.”
