Detroit was the perfect place to grow up for the ultimate immersion in soul, funk, and Motown music. As lead singer for “Lisa Marie and the Codependents” for fifteen years, Lisa Marie has honed a truly soulful sound. (Janis Joplin incarnate?) Her acute understanding of old school groove makes for a lively and funky low end. Already a signed solo artist on her own and with a solo project touring with “Blessid Union of Souls,” the Frogs lucked out to get such a dynamic and experienced performer.
