rock bands
Salty Frogs: My very own Celtic-rock band. Rocking since 2000, we recorded one CD, “Today Was Strange...”
Lisa Marie: More than a rock/funk/soul cover band, Lisa Marie herself is an experience! I played on both her “Super Duper,” and “Awake,” albums.
Purdy Mouth: We’re calling it “Blue Rock Grass”. Recorded on their latest album.
Motherless Cowboys: Moody cowboy rock. I recorded for the album, however, I don’t know if it was ever released.?
Slaymaker Hill: Love playing with these Celticy rocky guys now and then. I’m on one track of their first CD.
Jerry Joseph: I sat in with Jerry a few times. He liked that I could play fiddle and not sound like a fiddle.
Eric McFadden Trio: Same deal as with Jerry Joseph except I used more of a variety of percussive sounds as well as some good ol’ dirty rock fiddlin’.
There is nothing sweeter than thrashing around on a big festival stage while playing a thousand notes a minute and leading a loud rocking band! Although I’ve put that aside for the moment as I refine my singing and acoustic guitar playing skills, I know I’ll get back to it. It’s too much fun to give up! That’s why the Rolling Stones are still doing it and they’re all roughly 136 years old. I’m only 31 and I have a sweet Telecaster electric guitar ready and waiting to be rocked into submission! I’ve never created a speed metal band but I’ve definitely got it in me. Stay tuned...
As for the rocking out on my fiddle, Bill Frost said it best in the 2005 City Weekly feature article, “Fiddle About.”
“Beecher in action—particularly when she’s leading her band, the Salty Frogs, through a sweat-flinging set of electrified Celtic stomps...rocks harder than most so-called “rock” bands could even dream of. Beecher bows with enough unbridled passion and studied finesse to rival any guitar hero...”
